An investigation by the Christian Empowerment Council revealed that one of the better-known boycott, divestment and sanctions groups is engaging in illegal activities in Israel, and Israeli authorities appear to be completely oblivious to the phenomenon.

IDF under fire to explain how Jordanian successfully infiltrated undetected

 

After a kibbutz security officer shot and apprehended the infiltrator, the IDF opened an investigation on how a Jordanian citizen crossed the border into Israel to throw rocks at a moving car, and then assault its driver.

A Jordanian man managed to infiltrate Israel on Friday south of the northern site of Hamat Gader. After entering Israel, the man began to throw rocks at passing cars, causing an Israeli driver named Rotem Aharoni to drive off the road. A growing number of young Arabic-speaking Christians are volunteering to serve in the Israeli army. Some even want their service to be mandatory, as it is for Jews. But there are some elements in Arab Christian society that remain hostile to this phenomenon.

‘Future Weapons’ tested by IDF for likely Third Lebanon War with Hezbollah

 

Israel Defense Forces held its largest war simulation against Hezbollah in Lebanon using its newest, most cutting edge weapons systems.

An IDF report has come out following a recent exercise carried out at the battle laboratory of the Land Forces Weapons Department located in the Tel Hashomer base outside of Tel Aviv.

Lebanese newspaper: Hezbollah Busy Digging Attack-Tunnels Into Israel

 

Although the next war with Hezbollah isn’t likely to happen anytime soon, both Jewish and Arab towns along northern border have begun local civil defense training by the IDF.

In marking the 16th anniversary of Israel’s withdrawal from southern Lebanon, the Lebanese newspaper Al-Safir reported that the Hezbollah terrorist militia is busy digging tunnels under the Israeli border in preparation for future conflict.

According to the article, the tunnels enable Hezbollah terrorists to attack Israel at a moment’s notice, and include sophisticated ventilation and electricital systems and enough supplies to allow militants to remain in the tunnels for weeks at a time. Continue Reading »

Pro-Palestinian NGO, B’Tselem decides to forgo using IDF complaints system

Pro-Palestinian rights organization announced it will stop making official complaints over IDF soldiers’ conduct against Palestinian civilians to the Military Advocate General Corps, saying that after 25 years of reporting alleged abuse, it concluded the MAG corps was merely a ‘whitewashing mechanism.’

Israeli rights group B’Tselem announced Wednesday it was giving up taking complaints over soldier conduct to the IDF, after years of going through official channels brought few prosecutions.

 B’Tselem, a left-wing group that campaigns against Israel’s presence in the West Bank, said it had been providing information to the Military Advocate General Corps about alleged abuses for 25 years, but had concluded it was increasingly a “whitewash mechanism” and a “mere semblance of justice.”

IDF general admits Israel assisting Arab allies fight ISIS

 

Speaking to Foreign Press Association in Jerusalem, Maj. Gen. Yair Golan, revealed for the first time, that the IDF was providing intelligence assistance to Egypt & Jordan in their fight against ISIS.

“Israel provides Jordan and Egypt with intelligence assistance in their fight against ISIS,” the IDF deputy chief of staff, Maj. Gen. Yair Golan, said on Wednesday, describing the US backed Arab neighbors as stable despite the insurgent threat.

IDF: Hamas’ new terror-tunnels built stronger, more durable

 

The newer tunnels built after Operation Protective Edge benefit from sturdier construction methods, improving structural integrity, which make them less likely to collapse due to rainfall.

When comparing the tunnels discovered and destroyed during Operation Protective Edge in the summer of 2014 with the tunnel discovered two weeks ago, it is clear that Hamas has greatly improved the structural engineering of its tunnel and its construction methods.

The wall of the tunnels discovered during Operation Protective Edge consisted of pre-cast concrete slabs placed vertically, with reinforced concrete arches above them to prevent the tunnel from collapsing due to the weight of the soil above it.
