Arabic-language media representatives from Algeria and Tunisia in Israel

 

Israel’s Foreign Ministry hosts a North African media delegation of journalists & bloggers from Algeria and Tunisia in its 6th such initiative of bringing Arabic-language media representatives to empirically learn the truth about the Jewish State.

Six North African bloggers and journalists have arrived in Israel as guests of the foreign ministry at the invitation of the Deputy Spokesman for Arab Media, Hassan Kaabiya.This is the sixth such initiative undertaken to bring Arabic-language media representatives to Israel.

Until now, journalists from Morocco have come to Israel, but this is the first time journalists from Algeria and Tunisia have paid a visit.

U.S. files charges against female Jordanian terrorist convicted by an Israeli court & sentenced to 16 life sentences, but was traded after 8 years in the Hamas deal to release captive Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit.

The United States on Tuesday filed charges against Ahlam Aref Ahmad Al-Tamimi, a Jordanian woman who played a role in a 2001 suicide bombing at a Jerusalem Pizza restaurant.

Fifteen people were killed in the attack, including two U.S. citizens, and 122 wounded, including another four Americans.

Al-Tamimi acted as an accomplice, scouting the location of the Sbarro pizza chain in the heart of Jerusalem prior to the bombing and escorting the bomber to the site. Continue Reading »

Gaza tailor exports religious skullcaps, kippot for Jewish men

 

Mohammad Abu Shanab from Gaza recently began making the skullcaps worn by religious Jews as well as Christian clergy, saying, “In the foundation of our religion, we believe in Christianity and Judaism…so we have no problem making the headwear.”

Israel’s Public Security Minister Erdan signs order closing a Palestinian Authority office in east Jerusalem, commissioned to engage in surveillance and investigations to identify Arabs that sold land, buildings, or homes to Jews.

A Palestinian Authority government agency secretly operating in east Jerusalem was shut down on Tuesday on the order of Public Security Minister Gilad Erdan.

The PA agency, operating in the Beit Hanina neighborhood, was carrying out surveillance and registering of Arabs who sold land to Jews.

Palestinian Terrorist shot dead after stabbing 2 Policemen in Jerusalem

 

Both Border Guard police officers transferred to hospital where they are in stable condition after being stabbed at the Lion’s gate entrance to Jerusalem’s Old City.

An Arab terrorist stabbed and moderately wounded two Border Police officers in Jerusalem’s Old City early Monday morning.

The attack occurred at the Lion’s Gate on the city’s eastern side facing the Mount of Olives.

The 25-year-old terrorist approached the police guard station, entered and began wildly stabbing.

American computer chip giant Intel is set to purchase Israel’s Mobileye for $15.3 billion, the companies announced in a statement on Monday, in what will be Israel’s largest-ever high-tech acquisition deal.

“The combination is expected to accelerate innovation for the automotive industry and position Intel as a leading technology provider in the fast-growing market for highly and fully autonomous vehicles,” the statement said.

IDF’s secret missile unit Meitar closes with Artillery using 5th-generation Tammuz missile

 

Although the elite Meitar unit is being shuttered, the Israeli made Tammuz missile will continue to see action, as a new 5th-generation version with an extended range of 30km is already in use within the Artillery Corps.

After 30 years of operations, the IDF is closing the “Meitar” special operations unit. The Artillery Corps recently held a ceremony to mark the end of operations for the unit, which was responsible for operating the long range precision-guided Tammuz missile.

IDF begins training women to become integrated as tank crew members

 

IDF launches pilot program, with the training of 15 women that will begin this coming summer, after completing their basic training. “We’re giving this a real chance,” says Armored Corps chief Brig. Gen. Guy Hasson.

The military on Thursday launched a pilot program in which women will be trained as tank operators. The program is part of the IDF’s efforts to increase gender integration in infantry combat units.
