UN appeals to member states for over half-billion to aid Palestinians

 

Ignoring the current trends controlled by the corrupt & gangster-like gov’t of Hamas, pro-Palestinian UN bureaucrats are appealing for $547 million in aid, claiming the Hamas controlled coastal enclave could become uninhabitable by 2020 should Israel and Egypt maintain their blockade.

The United Nations launched an appeal Monday for $547 million (524 million euros) to help 1.6 million people in the Palestinian territories in 2017.

The response covers 1.1 million residents of the Gaza Strip, which has been under an Israeli blockade for the past decade, and half a million people in the occupied West Bank.

IDF busts large illegal weapons-making facility in Hebron basement

 

In addition to the 15 lathes, Israel’s security forces discovered 70 barrels full of assorted ammunition for M16’s, Carlo Gustav and other automatic weapons, found hidden in the basement walls.

 

Security forces seized the largest weapons manufacturing factory this year overnight between Sunday and Monday in Hebron, a senior IDF officer said Monday morning.

The facility, found in the basement of a family house, included 15 lathes used to produced weapons components.

IDF tank hits Hamas military post in retaliation to Gaza gunfire at Israeli patrol

 

Although, no one was hurt when Palestinian militants opened fire at Israeli soldiers securing civilian engineering work along the Gaza border fence, IDF responded to the unprovoked attack.

An IDF tank shelled and destroyed a Hamas military post in the Gaza Strip on Monday in response to gunfire opened at Israelis soldiers earlier.

The soldiers were securing civilian engineering work near the Gaza border fence in the southern part of the strip when they came under fire by Palestinian militants.

Oxfam charities chief: Firing Johansson over SodaStream was a fiasco

 

Oxfam International confederation of charities head admits support for BDS inspired confrontation with actress Scarlett Johansson, over her association with the Israeli company Sodastream, cost Oxfam thousands of donors.

The head of the Oxfam International confederation of charities admitted that the organization’s public spat with former celebrity ambassador Scarlett Johansson over her support of the Israeli company Sodastream was a mistake which cost the organization thousands of donors, the Guardian reported.

600 Palestinians worked at the SodaStream factory in the Mishor Adumim industrial park, next to the West Bank settlement of Maale Adumim before it was forced to relocate.

Israeli Arab lawmaker suspected of smuggling phones to imprisoned Palestinians

Azerbaijan reports acquiring Israel’s Iron Dome missile system

 

Just days after Israel’s PM Netanyahu visited Azerbaijan, President Ilham Aliyev revealed that his country has signed $5 billion worth of contracts to purchase weapons & security equipment from Israel.

Just days after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited Baku, Azerbaijani Defense Minister Javer Jamalov announced over the weekend that his country has signed a deal to purchase Israel’s Iron Dome aerial defense system.

Jamalov made the announcement on Saturday during a briefing with reporters. According to a report in the Azerbaijan Press Agency, Jamalov said that the “agreement was reached between the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry and Israel’s relevant structure”, likely a reference to Israel’s Defense Ministry. The Czech Republic is reportedly buying 8 Israeli manufactured radar systems to detect anything flying between 100 meters to 3 kilometers, such as low flying aircraft attempting to violate Czech airspace.

European fears of possible Russian action have led to huge business deals with Israeli security providers, with the Czech Republic purchasing MMR radars from the Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI).

Israel’s Ambassador to the UN, Danny Danon, led a delegation of 14 UN ambassadors to Israel as part of a project initiated by the American Jewish Committee and the Israeli delegation at the United Nations.

The delegation was attended by countries such as Argentina, Bulgaria, Cameroon, Costa Rica, Mexico, Uganda, Georgia, Jamaica and Micronesia.

Report: Mossad credited for Hamas operative’s assignation in Tunisia

 

Arab media reports Mohhamed Alzoari, known to Israel’s security echelon as “The Engineer,” was found shot to death while driving his car in the city of Sfax, 270 km southeast of Tunis.

The Mossad, Israel’s foreign intelligence agency, has reportedly assassinated a Hamas militant operating out of Tunsia, according to Channel 10 citing Arab media.

The target, Mohhamed Alzoari, known to Israel’s security echelon as “The Engineer,” was found shot to death inside his vehicle in the city of Sfax, local media reported.

Palestinian liaison to ISIS killed

 

ISIS social media sites report the death of liaison from Hamas Hashem Abdel Aileh Kishtah, an expert in anti-tank weapons who is believed to have been responsible for increased use of Kornet missiles by ISIS against Egyptian tanks.

ISIS in the Sinai Peninsula has announced that its liaison to Hamas—Hashem Abdel Aileh Kishtah has been killed. However, the group didn’t reveal how their liaison to the Palestinian terror group died.ISIS released a statement on the matter on Tuesday. Kishtah was originally from the city of Rafah in the southern Gaza strip.

The Israeli government has decided to shun Swedish Foreign Minister Margot Wallström’s upcoming visit to Israel and the Palestinian Authority on Thursday.

Wallström is a vocal critic of Israel and has made several controversial statements in the past. Her government also holds one-sided pro-Palestinian positions. She previously accused Israel of conducting “extrajudicial executions” of Palestinians committing terror attacks and seemed to imply that there was a connection between Islamist terrorism in Europe and the “desperate situation” of the Palestinians.
