ANALYSIS: Repeated Israeli airstrikes in Syria, yet Syria never retaliates

Time and again Syrian targets are attacked, reveling the next day where tons of sophisticated weaponry & materiel were destroyed, of Hezbollah & Iranian soldiers being killed, but never any reprisals… from anyone, only bluster & bravado from Islamic Generals… and not a peep from Assad or the Russians as Israel too, holds its tongue.

By Dr. Edy Cohen

Syrian media reported on Saturday night that Israel had attacked targets near the airport in Damascus. Those following the wide Arab media have noticed that Israel is averaging a strike against Syria about every two weeks.

The Israeli army itself recently backed up this conclusion by revealing that it had carried out over 200 attacks against targets in Syria over the past 18 months. Continue Reading »

Trump to Palestinians: Biting the hand that feeds you no longer works

Trump Admin explains why it’s changing the unsuccessful 40 year-old paradigm in search of peace, while trying to explain to an unappreciative Palestinian leadership that, “Nobody is entitled to America’s foreign aid.”

By Israel Today Staff

Despite being wholly dependent upon the goodwill of Israel, the Arab states and Western power-brokers, the Palestinian Authority has seemingly done its best to alienate each and every one.

It’s ironic, considering that much of the Palestinian leadership’s diplomatic efforts are focused on isolating Israel.

Israel’s reasons for distrusting the Palestinian Authority are clear. And numerous statements by Arab leaders across the Middle East in recent years reveal that they don’t think very highly of Mahmoud Abbas and his regime, even if they remain committed to the “Palestinian cause.” Continue Reading »

Palestinian ‘Right of Return’ still feasible according to past negotiators

Analysis: The Palestinian right of return issue seemed resolvable under peace talks that stemmed from Oslo and Camp David, according to former U.S. and Israeli negotiators.

By TOVAH LAZAROFF

The Trump administration in the last month has welcomed Israeli restraint with regard to settlement activity but called “unsustainable” the growing number of people who are officially considered Palestinian refugees.

The sudden sea change in rhetoric is seen as part of the administration’s preparation for the unveiling of the “deal of the century” in which it hopes to resolve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

An anthology of reasons why the Arabs detest the Palestinians

The Arab world has never facilitated a move for Palestinian statehood since they’ve long known the Palestinians don’t really want it, not just the kleptocratic leaders and Parliamentarians, that skim for a living, but also the refugees that pay fewer taxes, receive free food staples, free health & education.
– So why kill the “refugee” goose that lays the golden eggs?

By Dr. Mordechai Kedar

In Israel, and in much of the Western world, we tend to think that the Arab world is united in support of the Palestinians, that it wants nothing so much as to solve the Palestinian problem by giving them a state, and that all the Arabs and Muslims love the Palestinians and hate Israel.
