Israeli parliamentarians denied access to detained American BDS supporter

Three Knesset Members from Meretz were denied entry to the Ben Gurion Airport detention facility upon their  ‘surprise’ visit to see the 22 yr-old American woman who has been held for over five days now.

Meretz Members of Knesset Tamar Zandberg, Issawi Farig and Musi Raz were not allowed to visit Lara Alqasem, the Florida university student who has been detained by the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) at Ben-Gurion Airport for alleged Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions activity since arriving in Israel on Tuesday.

Lara Al-qasem, once served as Florida University president of Students for Justice in Palestine, an anti-Israel group which supports the BDS movement against Israel’s existence.

Angela Merkel exposes ‘Fake News’ about demolition of Khan al-Ahmar

Khan al-Ahmar residents appealed to the German Chancellor to intervene over the court-ordered demolition of their illegal West Bank compound, but to no avail. “This is an Israeli decision,” she said in Jerusalem.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel refrained from publicly criticizing Israel over it’s pending demolition of the illegal West Bank Bedouin village of Khan al-Ahmar, during her two-day trip to Israel that ended Thursday.

“This is an Israeli decision,” she said at a morning event at the Israel Museum in Jerusalem, during which the University of Haifa conferred upon her an honorary doctorate.

Israel Space Agency, NASA sign deal for moon-bound mission

The cooperation agreement allows Israel’s nonprofit SpaceIL’s lunar mission access to NASA tools and services, while NASA will have access to the scientific data returned from the magnetometer installed aboard the Israeli spacecraft.

The United States space agency, NASA, signed an agreement on October 3 with the Israel Space Agency to cooperatively utilize the Israeli nonprofit SpaceIL’s commercial lunar mission, expected to land on the moon in 2019.

As a part of the agreement, a retro-reflector from NASA will be installed on SpaceIL’s unmanned spacecraft. This instrument reflects laser beams, which will enable NASA to locate the spacecraft precisely on the lunar surface after the landing. Continue Reading »

Israeli aid team arrive in Indonesia following devastating earthquake & tsunami

Israel’s first team of emergency responders from Rescuers Without Borders includes doctors, paramedics and emergency aid specialists.
• A 2nd aid delegation consisting primarily of trauma specialists will head to Indonesia later on.

An Israeli aid team has been working in Indonesia in recent days to help the country and its people cope with the aftermath of a devastating tsunami last weekend, triggered by an earthquake at sea.

The Israeli volunteers are members of the organization Rescuers Without Borders, and include doctors, paramedics and other emergency aid specialists.

WASHINGTON – US President Donald Trump’s national security adviser on Thursday unveiled the administration’s long-awaited counterterrorism strategy, delivering it with harsh words for Iran.

Countering Syria’s new S-300 missiles, Israel will use F-35i stealth fighters

Israel’s Army Radio reported that Israel will use its recently acquired F-35I ‘Adir’ aircrafts to counter escalated threat posed by Syria’s introduction of Russian S-300 missile systems into the area.

Israel will use the F-35I stealth fighter to attack Syria, Galei Tzahal (Army Radio) reported.

The decision comes after Syria began receiving on Tuesday its new S-300 surface-to-air missile defense system.

REPORT: 93 Palestinians injured as Israeli Navy intercepts Gaza flotilla

After 7,000 Palestinian protesters clashed with the IDF and Gaza sailors trying to break the sea blockade near the Israel-Gaza maritime border on Monday, Gaza’s Ministry of Health reported 37 of the 93 injured were from live IDF sniper fire.

93 people were injured, with 37 from live IDF sniper fire, reported the Gaza Ministry of Health on Monday evening following intense clashes between 7,000 Palestinian protesters and IDF soldiers near the maritime boundary between the Gaza strip and Israel.

UNRWA evacuates senior Gaza officials to Israel for their safety

United Nations transfers 10 of its int’l [non-Palestinian] employees of UNRWA to Israel on Monday, to protect them from Gaza’s local staff [terrorists?] following threats and violent acts of harassment, since US fund cuts have led to subsequent layoff plans.

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) had evacuated 10 of its international senior employees from Gaza to Israel on Monday, after they were threatened and harassed by UNRWA’s disgruntled local Palestinian staff following the agency’s announcement to cut more than 250 jobs.

Israeli companies to pump gas to Egypt in $518 million deal

Israel’s Delek Group, Noble Energy are acquiring 40% of the Egypt-Israel gas pipeline with rights to operate it, enabling the Israeli companies to pump gas to Egypt as early as this year, assuming it will still be in demand.

Illegal Syrian migrant arrested plotting attack on Israel with chemical weapon

After receiving a tip from ‘a foreign agency’, Germany’s Special Deployment Commando Police unit arrested a Syrian who illegally entered the country with a fake passport, for plotting to attack Israeli targets with a chemical weapon.

A Syrian national recently arrested in Germany was part of an apparent plot to attack Israeli targets with chemical weapons, the German Bild newspaper reported.

Last Thursday, Germany’s special police unit, the SEK, arrested a 21-year-old Syrian man in Berlin. At the time, police said the suspect was wanted in connection with an April 14th assault in the German capital.
