NASA to deploy Israeli made solar-power generator on Int’l Space Station

Israel’s miniaturized solar-power generator becomes ‘one giant leap’ for private commercial space missions.

A new prototype miniaturized solar-power generator developed in Israel will be sent by NASA to the International Space Station in its first launches of 2020. The new generator was designed by Ben-Gurion University of the Negev’s professor emeritus Jeffrey Gordon – funded through a research grant by the Science, Technology and Space Ministry – and by his US colleagues from Pennsylvania State University, University of Illinois, George Washington University, US Naval Research Laboratory, HNU Systems and Northwestern University. The American NGO Alums for Campus Fairness released a comprehensive report last week that documents what ACF describes as “systemic anti-Semitism and an ingrained delegitimization of Israel” at Columbia University and its sister school, Barnard College.

The 33-page dossier documents more than 100 incidents that have made Columbia and Barnard “a hotbed for hate” since the 2016-17 academic year. Continue Reading »

Of Democratic contenders, only Biden opposes cutting military aid to Israel

After Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders said that Israel’s defense aid should “go right now into humanitarian aid in Gaza” and be used as leverage against Israel, former VP Biden called the idea “outrageous.”

Washington – Former Vice President and Democratic presidential hopeful, Joe Biden, sharply criticized some of his fellow candidates for offering to use military aid to Israel as leverage, and called the idea “outrageous.”

After Sen. Bernie Sanders claimed the United States is “complicit” in so-called Israeli ‘occupation’ and should rethink U.S. military aid to the Jewish state, Sharia Law advocate Linda Sarsour announced her support for Sanders’ bid for presidency.

Czech parliament condemns anti-Semitism & anti-Israel boycotts

The Czech parliament passed a resolution Tuesday condemning all types of boycotts against Israel and all manifestations of anti-Semitism.

The Czech parliament passed a resolution Tuesday condemning boycotts of Israel and all forms of anti-Semitism.

The resolution was passed following a spate of anti-Semitic incidents across Europe and a similar decision by the German parliament calling the BDS movement anti-Semitic.

Facebook closes 93 Iranian anti-Israel, anti-American fake accounts

From a Facebook statement release: “Today, we removed 93 Facebook accounts, 17 Pages and 4 Instagram accounts for violating our policy against coordinated inauthentic behavior, …[such as] repurposed Iranian state media stories on topics like Hezbollah, conflict between Iran and Saudi Arabia, tensions between Israel and Palestine and Iran.”

Facebook announced Monday that they removed dozens of Iran-originated accounts for engaging in “coordinated inauthentic behavior,” many of which seemed to be characterized by an anti-Israel agenda.

The social media giant describes such behavior as groups of pages or people misleading users about who they are and what they are doing, for example, presenting themselves as operating from a different country than the one they are actually originated from. Continue Reading »

Reading an opinion article penned by an American professor on an Israeli, English language media website, Holocaust denier David Irving went livid after reading how ‘those who glorify German Field Marshal Rommel are actually encouraging Neo-Nazism.’

On October 9th, Arutz Sheva posted an opinion article by English professor (ret.) Robert Scott Kellner of the U. of Massachusetts and Texas A&M U, decrying what he describes as the skewed rewriting of history that glorifies German WWII Field Marshal Erwin Rommel as a great military genius.

Books praising the Field Marshal, who was defeated at El Alamein by the British General Montgomery in the famous 1942 battle that put an end to Nazi plans to conquer the Middle East – and extend the Final Solution to its Jews – even include a tribute by US General Wesley Clark in the foreword to military historian Charles Messenger’s Rommel in Palgrave Macmillan’s Great Generals series. Israeli firm delivers defense system to protect US Army’s Abrams tank crews

The US and Israel worked together to integrate Rafael’s Trophy defense system for four tank brigades within both the U.S. Army and Marine Corps Abrams variants.

The first Trophy active defense systems to shield US Army Abrams tanks from a variety of anti-armor threats has been delivered on time, Israeli defense giant Rafael Advanced Defense Systems announced on Tuesday.

At long last! Facebook takes down Fatah’s Official Page due to incitement

Palestinian Media Watch’s 45-page report convinces Facebook, after years of being an “accomplice in Fatah’s terror promotion,” to replace incitement with a new message when users go to Fatah’s official page, “Sorry, this content isn’t available right now.”

When users click on the page, they receive a message saying, “Sorry, this content isn’t available right now.”

Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan on Tuesday compared Israel’s actions in Gaza to the Holocaust and provided a show and tell presentation, similar to the ones favored by Israeli leader, condemning what he described is an Israeli occupation of Palestine.

FIFA breaks on rules by excluding only Israelis from upcoming World Cup

Although the FIFA Ethics Code prohibits host countries from discriminating against fans based on their nationality, the advocacy group StandWithUs petitioned the Int’l Football Association as to why Israel was not on the list of countries that require a visa to attend the 2022 World Cup.

The Israel advocacy group StandWithUs called on the international soccer governing FIFA to ensure Israelis would be allowed to visit Qatar during the World Cup tournament in 2022.

Omar Barghouti, the co-founder of the anti-Israel Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement, has been denied an entry visa to the UK, where he was due to speak at a number of fringe events at the Labour party conference.

The District Court of the Hague will hold a hearing on Tuesday about whether a war crimes case against Benny Gantz is admissible relating to his command decisions during the 2014 Gaza War.

Israeli soldiers and commanders may also be on the hot seat at The Hague before the International Criminal Court, but Tuesday’s hearing, which also happens to be Election Day, is a local Dutch court proceeding that is unrelated to that. Continue Reading »
