The Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT) continues its series of Arabic posts for Gaza Strip residents this morning, Sunday, when it published footage on its Facebook page of the theft by Hamas of electricity intended for local residents.

Israeli officials discovered medical supplies sent to Gaza are bomb-making materials

Hidden in a shipment of medical supplies sent to the terrorist enclave, materials needed in the making of rockets & explosive devices were intercepted during a routine inspection of goods by the on-site laboratory.

Security forces recently thwarted an attempt to smuggle bomb-making materials into the Gaza Strip, the Crossings Directorate in the Defense Ministry revealed Sunday.

The contraband was hidden in boxes containing medical supplies bound for the coastal enclave.

After Hamas accuses Palestinian of collaborating with Israel, family executes him

 

Based on claims by Hamas that one of their relatives assisted Israel in locating 3 senior terrorists for elimination during the 2014 Gaza war, the Palestinian family reported on Friday that they had executed him in the city of Rafah, Gaza.

A Gazan family said on Friday it had killed one of its relatives, claiming he had helped Israel track down and kill three senior Hamas terrorists, including one of the man’s own kinsmen.

In a statement quoted by Yediot Aharonot, the family of Ahmed Barhoum said it had shot him in the city of Rafah after they were told by Hamas that he had provided information to Israel. Continue Reading »

Watch Video: IDF detonates Hamas terror-tunnel inside Gaza

The IDF released footage of their demolition of a Hamas terror-tunnel along Israel-Gaza border.

The IDF released footage Thursday of its recent demolition of a terror tunnel used by the Hamas terror organization underneath the Israel-Gaza border.

On Sunday, Israeli Air Force aircraft destroyed the tunnel, which ran from the city of Rafiah in southern Gaza to a point some 590 feet inside Israeli territory in the western Negev.

The tunnel ran underneath the Egypt-Gaza [fuel] pipeline[s].

According to IDF spokesperson Ronen Manelis, IDF forces had located the tunnel several days before the demolition. Continue Reading »

Israel bars pro-Hamas Swiss diplomats from entering Gaza

Swiss officials have been reportedly banned from entering the Gaza Strip by Israel from via territory, following a set of meetings that apparently occurred between representatives from the country and Gaza-based Hamas group leaders, The Times of Israel reported on Wednesday.

Israeli border technicians prevent smuggling tons of explosive materials into Gaza

Since the new joint project between Israel’s Crossing Authority, Shin Bet & Israel Police, the lab has identified substances which could be weaponized, literally preventing tons of explosive materials from reaching the Palestinian terror organizations in Gaza.

An attempt to smuggle tons of explosive material into the Gaza Strip has been thwarted by the Israeli Ministry of Defense’s Crossing Authority, it was announced on Wednesday.

The attempt was foiled thanks to a new, advanced chemistry laboratory that was set up in recent weeks at Israel’s Kerem Shalom crossing with Gaza.

Palestinian surgeons train in Israel, go to Gaza to perform corneal transplants

In less than 2 years approximately 60 corneal transplant surgeries have been performed in Gaza by Palestinian doctors who were trained in Israel.

​At the end of 2016, a new branch of St John’s Eye Hospital was opened in Gaza and, recently, corneal transplant surgeries have been performed in the Gaza Strip by Palestinian doctors who have undergone training in Israel.

UNRWA finds another Hamas terror-tunnel beneath Gaza’s UN school

First, plagued with having UNRWA schools used to store Hamas rockets during the summer months, now, for the second time this year, a Hamas terror-tunnel was discovered beneath another UN educational institution in Gaza.
– UNRWA statement: “The presence of the tunnel underneath an UNRWA facility,” which retains immunity under international law, “is unacceptable and places the children and staff in danger” (by nullifying its immunity status when firing missiles at Israel).

Gaza’s Hamas security commander escapes assassination attempt

After leaving Friday prayers at a Gaza mosque, Tawfiq Abu Naim, Hamas security commander, was rushed to hospital after his car exploded at the hands of masked Palestinian terrorists.

Commander of Hamas’s internal security forces in Gaza, Tawfiq Abu Naim was lightly wounded Friday afternoon after a group of masked men shot at him in what appeared to be an assassination attempt.

Officials in the Gaza strip announced this morning, Tuesday, that a 24-year-old terrorist had died while working in a terror tunnel near Rafiah in southern Gaza.

According to Arab media outlet reports, the terrorist belonged to the Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas.
