The IDF this morning arrested a young Arab woman from the village of Nabi Salih near Ramallah, after footage emerged showing the woman harassing IDF soldiers stationed in the village last Friday.

Syrian state TV: Israel Strikes Syria Again

The Syrian TV news report comes just two days after the IDF allegedly fired several Jericho missiles destroying large sections of an Iranian military base near Damascus.

IDF’s most elite units host Indian special forces in joint training exercises

Arab terrorists from Egypt open fire on IDF patrol

Terrorists open small-arm’s fire from the Sinai Peninsula on IDF soldiers along Israel’s border fence. IDF reports no soldiers were injured, but a military vehicle did sustain damage.

Arabs opened fire on Sunday evening from the Sinai Peninsula towards an IDF force that was engaged in operational activity near the security fence along the Egyptian border.

There were no injuries among the soldiers, but a military vehicle sustained light damage.

The IDF said that the incident is believed to be a spillover of gunfire from Egypt.

Israeli security forces on Tuesday night raided eight Arab media outlets responsible for broadcasting incitement and encouraging terrorism.

The operation was carried out by IDF, Shabak (Israel Security Agency), and the Civil Administration, and included the closing of illegal and inciting media outlets, as well as the confiscation of documents and equipment.

IDF invites public to decide its 70th anniversary insignia

The IDF invites the public to visit it’s website by Oct. 29 to decide which of the three different designs will appear at all state events celebrating Israel’s 70th birthday and IDF documents throughout the upcoming year.

In honor of the country’s 70th Independence Day, the IDF is offering the public the unique opportunity of choosing the armed forces’ official insignia marking the historic milestone.

Voting opened on Wednesday morning on the IDF’s official website. The public will have until Oct. 29 to choose between three different designs.

After female trainees dropped out of pilot program to serve in armored corps units, IDF command decides to cancel project.

The pilot program for female soldiers in the IDF armored corps failed after two of the twelve female recruits dropped out during basic training.

As part of the pilot program, the IDF sought to have three female soldiers serve in a tank and work together with one male soldier.

Preparing to qualify as an IDF tank crew member, 15 handpicked women have been undergoing special training, a first in IDF history, performing maneuvers on Merkava Mark III tanks, and will continue through the next eight months until the program’s conclusion.

WATCH: IDF uses Patriot missile to successfully intercept UAV in nighttime exercise

According to a statement from the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit, the successful interception of the UAV using the Patriot surface-to-air missile system was part of a larger exercise scheduled for 2017.

A Patriot surface-to-air missile was successfully test fired Wednesday from a base in central Israel as part of an air force exercise designed to test Israel’s air defense capabilities against threats.

As part of the exercise, the American-made system scored a direct hit on an airborne UAV.
