Security forces have arrested six Israeli Beduin men from the Negev town of Houra, four of whom work as school teachers, for allegedly supporting the Islamic State terrorist organization.

The Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) revealed Monday that the men were arrested over the past two months.  They allegedly took part in secret meetings in which they discussed Islamic State doctrine, and spread the group’s propaganda among their family members and associates.

Southern Israel Hit By Rocket from Egypt

Jihadists in Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula fire rocket that explodes in southern Israel, forcing residents into bomb shelters.

A rocket fired from Egypt exploded in southern Israel’s Gaza belt region Friday afternoon.

Residents of the area were forced into rocket shelters after sirens sounded at approximately 4:20 p.m.  No damage or injuries has been reported.

The IDF temporarily closed Route 12 as a “security precaution.”

Unlike other recent rocket attacks, which have broken the relative calm since the truce signed between Israel and terrorist groups in Gaza, this attack did not come from the Gaza Strip but from within Egyptian territory.

Israel’s former ambassador to Egypt, Zvi Mazel, currently a researcher at the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs (JCPA), believes that the Egyptian army is not going to be able to successfully fight ISIS. In the end, he believes, the IDF is going to have to do the job.

Angry ISIS Threathens to Topple Hamas in Gaza, then Fatah & Israel

Islamic State (ISIS) insurgents on Tuesday threatened to topple Hamas in Gaza, accusing the group of being “insufficiently stringent” about religious enforcement, according to Reuters.

The video, issued from an ISIS stronghold in Syria, was a public challenge to Hamas, which has been cracking down on jihadists who oppose its truces with Israel and reconciliation with longtime rival Fatah.

“We will uproot the state of the Jews (Israel) and you and Fatah, and all of the secularists are nothing and you will be over-run by our creeping multitudes,” said a masked ISIS member, according to Reuters, in the message addressed to the “tyrants of Hamas”. Continue Reading »

Flyers made their appearance in the North Jerusalem neighborhood of Beit Hanina on Thursday last week, signed by the “ISIS in Palestine” organization, with threats against Arab Christians of the area. Christians are threatened with slaughter if they do not evacuate the area by Eid al-Fitr, marking the end of Ramadan. Facebook closes ISIS page used to sell plundered ancient artifacts

Facebook has taken down pages that may have been selling archaeological finds looted by the Islamic State group in Iraq and Syria.

The militant group has reportedly been using the social media network to sell off the invaluable artifacts believed to have been plundered by Islamic State militants from Syrian archaeological sites.

After receiving reports about the illegal sales efforts, Facebook removed the pages featuring the stolen items, which included scrolls written in both Hebrew and Aramaic, clay tablets, and ancient coins and golden statues. Continue Reading »

Israeli combat jets struck targets in Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip following earlier rocket fire on Israeli communities bordering the Palestinian enclave, Palestinian media reported early Thursday morning.

Hours earlier, three missiles fired from the Strip landed in open areas in the Sdot Negev Regional Council in after sirens warning of incoming rockets blared across the south of Israel Thursday evening.

A group that is operating in Gaza and which says it is associated with ISIS has claimed that it killed a top Hamas commander. According to the group, which calls itself the Army of the Islamic State, Saber Siam was killed when ISIS operatives placed a bomb on his car, blowing it up with him inside.

Report: ISIS-linked terrorists in Sinai threaten to attack Eilat “in the coming days”

According to Egyptian media, Islamist terrorist group uses Facebook to gather volunteers for an attack on Israel’s southern ‘vacation city’ “in the coming days.”

Terrorists in the Sinai Peninsula linked to the radical Islamic State group reportedly threatened Thursday to strike the port in Israel’s southern city of Eilat “in the coming days,” according to Egyptian media.

According reports, the Islamist group Sinai Province, formerly knows as Ansar Bait al-Maqdis, “threatened to strike the Eilat Port, following coordination with Islamic State’s wing in the Gaza Strip.”

The savage Islamic State (ISIS) organization has seized nearly all of the Palestinian district of Yarmouk in Damascus, activists said Saturday, and there are reports of beheadings and mass killings of Palestinians.

The London-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) watchdog group said the Islamist militants have taken over 90% of Yarmouk, on the southern edge of the Syrian capital.

The Financial Times cited activists who said that the jihadi group may succeed in cementing a foothold in the Syrian capital, thus increasing pressure on President Bashar al-Assad.
