US Envoy blasts UNRWA failures, urges “adult choices” from UNSC

WATCH: At the UN Security Council, US Mideast Envoy Jason Greenblatt, blasts UNRWA failures, blaming the Palestinian refugee organization for squandering the significant funds donated by many countries, including the $6 BILLION contributed by the U.S. alone.

President Donald Trump’s special envoy to the Middle East, Jason Greenblatt, said in a speech to the Security Council that the Palestinians would make a mistake if they did not come to the economic conference initiated by the United States in Bahrain.

“It would be a mistake for the Palestinians not to join us. They have nothing to lose and much to gain…” he said adding that it would be the first step towards a political solution to the conflict that would “transform the lives of the Palestinians.” Continue Reading »

Israeli Foreign Ministry trade swipes after UNRWA called out on Twitter

Israel’s Foreign Ministry refuses to delete tweet after UNRWA head fumed over comment posted by ministry spokesman: “The terrorists shooting the rockets are all probably UNRWA graduates. You must be really proud of them.”

By Ariel Kahana and Israel Hayom Staff

Even as the winds of war seem to have temporarily subsided in Gaza, Israel’s Foreign Ministry and the U.N. Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees continue to butt heads over the agency’s conduct during the most recent round of violence between Israel and Palestinian terrorist groups in Gaza.

Tensions began when UNRWA’s Commissioner General Matthias Schmale on May 4, intimated on Twitter that Israeli airstrikes were hindering UNRWA sponsored events to “celebrate children and their sports and fun activities.” Continue Reading »

No longer receiving aid from the US, the UN agency that provides food, education & health care exclusively for Palestinian refugees is asking donors to fill in the missing $446 million it lacks.

– The European Union has replaced the US as leading donor to UNRWA.

The head of the UN agency that helps 5.3 million Palestinian refugees on Monday urged donors who filled a $446 million hole in its budget last year after the Trump administration drastically cut the US contribution to be equally generous this year. Continue Reading »

Israel Closes Toxic UNRWA Schools in Jerusalem

Former-Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat had been advocating for the closure of the Hamas endorsed UNRWA schools for years, arguing that all the schools in metropolitan Jerusalem should be overseen by the Israel Ministry of Education.

By Israel Today Staff

The Israeli government has decided to shut down schools operated by the UN Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) in Arab neighborhoods of Jerusalem.

While there are numerous refugee populations in the world, the only one enjoying the support of its own dedicated UN agency (UNRWA) is the so-called Palestinian “refugee” population (though it is debatable whether or not they can even be called genuine refugees). Continue Reading »

Pretend Palestinian refugees and their “Double Identity”

Israel’s former Ambassador to the U.N. Ron Prosor tackles the absurdity of the Palestinian refugee narrative by “exposing” the unmistakably non-refugee lives of nine descendants of Arabs who left Israel in 1948, but who cynically still continue to identify themselves as ‘refugees.’

By Nadav Shragai

A few months ago, researchers Adi Schwartz and Einat Wilf wrote in an article about their book “The War for Return” that children in refugee camps run by the U.N. Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) could recite by heart their parents’ and grandparents’ stories about leaving Israel during and after the 1948 War of Independence. The ‘lost deal’: US paid UNRWA in 1952 to end Arab refugee problem

REVEALED: US-Israel historian Kobby Barda has uncovered the ‘forgotten’ chapter of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict: US President Truman’s administration gave the Arab nations and Israel $1.5 billion [in today’s equivalency] to resolve the Middle East refugee problem. – But only Israel fulfilled its obligation.

By Eldad Beck

Kobby Barda couldn’t believe what he was seeing. While researching the establishment of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee under the auspices of the Ruderman Program for American Jewish Studies at the University of Haifa, Barda found his way to the personal archive of one Isaiah Leo “Si” Kenen, a Canadian-born lawyer, journalist and philanthropist who was one of the founders of the pro-Israel lobby. Near ‘bankruptcy’ & hundreds fired, UNRWA pays $108k for new assistant

UNRWA is cash-strapped and was near collapse recently as hundreds of Palestinians workers have been laid off, yet UNRWA is advertising for a new position that pays over 14 times the average income of a Palestinian worker.

By JULIANE HELMHOLD

A United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA) job posting published last month offered a starting salary of over $100,000 for the position of director of external relations. The well-paid post comes despite the fact that the organization finds itself in serious financial trouble.

In the posting, UNWRA offered an attractive compensation package, including an annual salary starting at $108,189 tax free. Continue Reading »

UNRWA teaches Palestinian children how “to be killed and kill Jews”

Arab human rights activist Bassam Eid supports President Trump’s defunding of UNRWA as only way to end culture of death & violence, end the rampant corruption, systematic incitement and finally raise Palestinian Arabs out of self-induced misery.

In Jerusalem, Mayor Nir Barkat presented a plan to remove all UNRWA operations from the capital and begin providing full municipal services to the residents of Shuafat, where UNRWA operates schools and clinics without Israeli permission.

The Jerusalem move follows a decision by the US to cut aid to UNRWA because it is an organization that perpetuates the refugee problem instead of acting to solve the issue. Continue Reading »

Jerusalem’s Mayor to remove UNRWA from Jerusalem, exposes sham

Jerusalem’s Mayor Nir Barkat goes to war on UNRWA, having formulated a detailed plan of action to completely remove the corrupt organization & their officials from Israel’s capital and replace its services with municipal services that are shared by the entire city.

By Tzvi Lev

Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat revealed on Thursday evening a detailed plan of action he had devised to remove the UNRWA organization from Jerusalem and to replace the services it provides with municipal services.

Since 1965, the organization has been responsible for some 20,000 “refugees” living in the Shuafat camp, who also bear Israeli identity cards and are entitled to the National Insurance, Education and Health Services of the State of Israel and the Jerusalem Municipality as residents of Jerusalem. United Nations transfers 10 of its int’l [non-Palestinian] employees of UNRWA to Israel on Monday, to protect them from Gaza’s local staff [terrorists?] following threats and violent acts of harassment, since US fund cuts have led to subsequent layoff plans.

By Elior Levy

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) had evacuated 10 of its international senior employees from Gaza to Israel on Monday, after they were threatened and harassed by UNRWA’s disgruntled local Palestinian staff following the agency’s announcement to cut more than 250 jobs.

An anthology of reasons why the Arabs detest the Palestinians

The Arab world has never facilitated a move for Palestinian statehood since they’ve long known the Palestinians don’t really want it, not just the kleptocratic leaders and Parliamentarians, that skim for a living, but also the refugees that pay fewer taxes, receive free food staples, free health & education.
– So why kill the “refugee” goose that lays the golden eggs?

By Dr. Mordechai Kedar

In Israel, and in much of the Western world, we tend to think that the Arab world is united in support of the Palestinians, that it wants nothing so much as to solve the Palestinian problem by giving them a state, and that all the Arabs and Muslims love the Palestinians and hate Israel. Corbyn tweets ‘The UK must fill the gap’ after Trump ended UNRWA funding

Dedicated to aiding & supporting Israel’s enemies at all cost, and completely disregarding the US assessment to terminate the folly of endlessly funding an exponentially expanding parasitical community, the UK Labour leader calls on Britain to “fill the gap by boosting its contributions.”

By HAGAY HACOHEN

UK Labour party leader Jeremy Corbyn took to social media Saturday evening to call the US’s decision to end its funding of UNRWA “shameful” and called it “a vital UN refugee agency.”

The UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) supports roughly five million Palestinians in Jordan, the West Bank and the Gaza Strip. Continue Reading »

US: Funding UNRWA’s “exponentially expanding, entitled beneficiaries” has ended

– Spokesman for Palestinian Authority autocrat Mahmoud Abbas said the U.S. decision was a “flagrant assault” against the Palestinian people, and a “defiance of UN resolutions.”
– Hamas Spokesman,”US leadership has become an enemy of our people and of our nation.”

By MICHAEL WILNER

WASHINGTON — The Trump administration has cut all funding to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA), questioning the organization’s “fundamental business model” of servicing an “endlessly and exponentially expanding community” of declared Palestinian refugees.

The move was previewed by US media outlets in recent weeks after e-mails from President Donald Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner, were leaked showing his interest in “disrupting” the UN body. Continue Reading »

Trump’s trump card breaks 50-yr stalemate, Palestinians living 2nd ‘catastrophe’

Palestinian intransigence has forced Trump to look at the conflict as a ‘business deal’, uniquely changing the paradigm. To the Palestinian’s ire, there’s a ‘revolution’ to move forward – for both US fiscal responsibility, and Israel’s future…. or as the PLO would call it, a ‘nakba’ [catastrophe].

By Yochanan Visser

A revolution is taking place in the way the United States deals with the Palestinian Israeli conflict and it could have serious ramifications for the security situation in Israel some say while others see God’s hand in the stunning developments.

Last week the Trump Administration announced it would cut $200 million in U.S. Continue Reading »

Haley, who spoke at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies summit in Washington, further accused the Palestinian Authority of “bashing” the US while expecting Washington to support Palestinians financially.
