Syrian missives express gratitude for Israel’s humanitarianism

Expressing their gratitude, Syrian civil war victims treated by Israeli field hospitals on the Golan Heights pen appreciation letters for the IDF’s medical care, saying it has strengthened their yearning for peace, undermined indoctrination of Israel as an enemy.
– “To all Syrians who say Israel is the enemy, I say that you are liars….Israel is our friend.”

Israelife sends medical, search & rescue team to Miami

Two weeks ago, the Israelife Foundation sent a medical delegation who volunteer at United Hatzalah to help in aftermath of Hurricane Harvey in Texas. Now, a team is off to Florida.

A delegation of the Israelife Foundation left for Miami on Saturday night to help the local Jewish community and Israeli community in the wake of Hurricane Irma.

The volunteers taking part in the mission will assist in providing an initial response to the natural disaster and will deal with its implications in terms of the community.

“Our role as volunteers will be to assist the community and to handle the situation as best we can in the absence of American officials, until their arrival,” explained delegation spokesman Moti Elmaliach. Continue Reading »

Hezbollah reports discovery of another Israeli ‘surveillance boulder’ in Lebanon

The ‘boulder’ was found in Kfar Shuba, a village in south Lebanon, and according to Hezbollah claims, it contained a thermal camera transmitting images in both day and night conditions which was ultimately dismantled by Lebanese army engineers.

Terrorist group Hezbollah claimed Saturday it has uncovered an Israeli spying device that had been placed inside a rock in Kfar Shuba, a village in southern Lebanon, the Hezbollah-affiliated news agency Al Mayadeen reported.

Conservative leaders in the United States sent a scathing letter to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Wednesday, in which they pressed him to unfreeze the Kotel egalitarian area plan, threatening to turn their represented community of 2 million Jews worldwide against him and Israel if he does not.

Senior members of the Conservative movement met with Israel’s Consul-General in New York, Dani Dayan, and handed him the threatening letter—signed by hundreds of leaders, rabbis, and presidents of Conservative Jewish communities from North America and around the world—to give to the prime minister personally. US to enforce ‘Taylor Force Act’ starting in 2018

The Taylor Force Act, attached to the 2018 Foreign Operations budget in the Senate, was conceived to end decades of American taxpayers’ money given as aid to the Palestinians, but used by Abbas’ Palestinian Authority to pay terrorists, and their families, a monthly pension for killing Jews.

The Taylor Force Act was attached to the 2018 Foreign Operations budget in the Senate on Thursday, Haaretz reports.

The move means the legislation is almost certainly assured of being enforced in the United States from next year.

Chinese investors start with $520 million investment in Israeli green tech

An Israeli delegation headed by Environmental Protection Minister Zeev Elkin is currently in China in an effort to bring together Israeli firms that specialize in green tech and Chinese companies looking to invest hundreds of millions of dollars in the growing industry.

Syrian rebel fighters return ‘lost’ Vulture to Israel

Spurred by the intervention of local animal activists as an expression of gratitude for Israel’s humanitarian efforts on its border, one of the Golan Heights’ few remaining vultures was caught, having been injured, and returned to Israel by local Syrian rebels.

One of the few vultures still remaining in the Golan Heights Gamla Nature Reserve flew over the border to Syria recently before being captured by one of the rebel organizations fighting against Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, who returned it home Tuesday.
