Ukrainian parliamentarians urge President to recognize Jerusalem

86 Ukrainian lawmakers submit a bill calling on President Zelenskiy, the country’s newly elected Jewish head of state to officially recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and follow in President Trump’s decision by relocating their ambassador and embassy to Jerusalem.

Ukraine might soon follow in the footsteps of the United States and move its embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, after dozens of Ukrainian lawmakers co-authored a draft calling on the country’s new president to recognize the holy city as Israel’s capital.

Some 86 – out of 450 – members of the Ukrainian parliament (The Verkhovna Rada) already submitted the bill for a vote, according to reports in the country’s media on Friday. Continue Reading »

After US request, Israel approves armored vehicles for PA police

Having refused the Palestinian Authority’s request for years to attain armored vehicles for their security forces, Israel granted permission for the acquisition of 10 light armored vehicles after a request from the Trump administration, in an effort to reduce tensions.

Palestinian Authority security forces received ten armored vehicles from the United States four months ago, but the details are only coming to light now. The vehicles entered the West Bank via the Allenby Crossing from Jordan, with Israel’s approval.

Starting with Palestinian media, then picked up by Quds News Network, Al Jazeera (AJ+) then spread through social media, the story that Aisha a-Lulu, 5, of Gaza had died of cancer ‘alone’ and prevented from being accompanied by her parents was completely debunked as ‘just another lie’ to demonize Israel.

Tel Aviv pulled out all the stops Saturday night for the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest that began in the city at 10pm. Fans of the show had the city crowded from the late afternoon, with many main roads closed.

The Saturday show was the culmination of a week-long event, including two semifinals on Tuesday and Thursday.

REPORT: IDF strikes near Iranian & Hezbollah storage sites outside Damascus

Syrian state TV showed news-clip of the night sky with light flashes and the sound of explosions as air defenses were activated against airstrike.
– Anti-aircraft missile debris fell in open areas of Israel’s Golan Heights.

Syrian state media accused Israel of launching a strike against targets outside Damascus Friday night and claimed the country’s air defenses intercepted a number of missiles.

“Aerial defenses detected hostile targets coming from the direction of Quneitra and intercepted them,” a military source was quoted by Syria’s SANA news agency as saying.

The German Bundestag’s vote on Friday makes Germany the first country in the European Union to rule that the BDS movement is antisemitic, making no attempt to build coexistence or peace between Israel and its neighbors.

In a landmark vote the German Bundestag ruled on Friday that the anti-Israel Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement is antisemitic, calling on German Federal offices and bodies not to collaborate in any way with events that advocate to boycott or delegitimize the Jewish state.
