REPORT: Test-run of Israeli natural gas delivery reaches Jordan

The Petra news agency reported that Jordan’s National Electric Power Company received for the first time, natural gas from Israel’s Leviathan gas field, in a test to check the viability of the infrastructure prior to the pumping of NEPCO’s $10 billion import deal.

An experimental supply of natural gas from the Leviathan gas field was pumped to Jordan from Israel by the Noble Energy Company on Wednesday, according to Jordan’s Petra national news agency.

The experimental pumping will continue for three months and will test the infrastructure prior to the flow of the actual commercial supply, according to Jordan’s National Electric Power Company (NEPCO). Continue Reading »

Israel approved plan to build schools replacing UNRWA for Arab kids

Jerusalem Mayor gets plan approved for constructing educational campus serving the capital’s Arab neighborhoods providing a superior education and free of UNRWA’s anti-Semitic and martyrdom indoctrination.

The Jerusalem Municipal Council approved Tuesday night a plan to construct an educational campus for Education Ministry schools near the city’s Arab Shuafat and Anata neighborhoods.

These schools will be an alternative to the UNRWA (United Nations Relief and Works Agency) schools which currently dominate the area.

Some 1,132 Israeli terror victims filed a lawsuit on Tuesday in the Jerusalem District Court for NIS 20 billion against the Arab Bank PLC for allegedly serving as a funding platform for terrorist attacks against Israel.

Jordanian lawmaker asks Jordanians to martyr themselves against gas deal

Prior to the electrical equipment of Israel-Jordan gas-line being torched yesterday in protest to the upcoming import of natural gas from Israel, Jordanian parliamentarian Tariq Khoury demanded, “Every free man in Jordan must sacrifice himself and his children to blow up a gas line that passes through Jordanian territory, we are all martyrs of the project.”

Two electrical transformers servicing a gas transfer station intended to transport gas from the Leviathan natural gas field in Israel into Jordan were torched by unidentified people in Irbid in northern Jordan on Saturday.

Palestinians Used Jewish Gravestones for Staircase

REPORT: Arab man from the village of Silwan was arrested for using old tombstones stolen from the Jewish cemetery on the Mount of Olives, Jerusalem, to build a public staircase in his Palestinian village.

Yuval Segev, Army Radio’s reporter covering the police and Jerusalem, on Monday night tweeted that a PA resident was arrested on suspicion of breaking into the Jewish cemetery on Mount Olives and using old tombstones to build a public staircase in his village.

The investigation was launched following a complaint from City Councilman Arieh King. The suspect denies the charges.

One Segev follower, Shai Lourie, tweeted that if such a thing had happened in Europe it would have opened all the news editions, but on Mount Olives it barely generates a yawn. Continue Reading »

Palestinian convicted of selling land to Jews dies in custody

A Palestinian prisoner who was accused of selling land to Jews died in a hospital run by the Palestinian Authority (PA) in Ramallah.

A PA court had sentenced the man to ten years in prison for his involvement in real estate transactions “with the enemy,” PA police spokesman Luay Zreikat said.
