‘Finally the world understands – Israel is not the problem’

After 11 and a half years leading Israel’s National Information Directorate in the Prime Minister’s Office, Yarden Vatikai discusses the delicate balance Israel has to maintain in fighting for its image, when the EU, UN, Arab League, an occasional American President and rabid antisemitism is ready to assault Israel’s right to be treated equally.

By Yoav Limor

Israel is often under the gun, at home and abroad, for its public diplomacy failures – for not marketing itself, explaining its actions, thwarting hostile schemes based on incorrect or twisted information, while at the same time not playing up its successes. This was true in the past, when most of the world was against us, and to a large extent it’s still true in the age of social media and the endless flood of information. Continue Reading »

Addressing those who refused the call to boycott the trip to the Jewish State, Israel’s former Ambassador to the US, Michael Oren said, “I think this is the pro-Israel stream in the Democratic Party, which is the mainstream of the party.”

By HERB KEINON

The 41 US House Democrats who arrived in Israel on Monday on a trip sponsored by an AIPAC affiliated charity are doing more than “just” showing mainstream Democratic support for Israel, they are wresting control of the party from the high-profile Progressive wing trying to hijack it.

A part of this wing – embodied by congresswomen Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib and Alexandira Ocasio-Cortez – despises Israel and AIPAC with a venom that sometimes crosses the line into antisemitism. Continue Reading »

Ignoring BDS pressure, JLo unapologetically made her presence in the Holy Land, not just at the sold-out performance in Tel Aviv, but with family photos to her 100 million social media followers, as she toured Jerusalem.

By Raz Shechnik

A thousand ambassadors would not have been able to improve Israel’s image in the eyes of the world the way Jennifer Lopez, who has over 100 million followers on social media, has done during her five day visit to the Holy Land as part of her concert tour.
