Newly formed IDF special ops unit trained to penetrate enemy territory

The function of the IDF’s new, highly trained multidimensional unit, comprised with tanks, UAVs & classified combat technologies, will be to operate with new advanced abilities, to track down, attack and destroy the enemy.

The IDF on Wednesday began work on its new special ops unit designed to go deep into enemy territory. The unit will be equipped with unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and be joined by teams from various other commando units.

IDF destroys Hamas weapons production site with Qatari Envoy nextdoor

Following rocket fire from Gaza last night, the IDF retaliated, destroying a Hamas weapons production site in the northern Gaza Strip, even though the Qatari Envoy to Gaza was in the hotel next door.

Several Palestinians were lightly injured after IDF fighter jets attacked a Hamas weapons production site in the northern Gaza Strip, according to Palestinian media.

According to the Palestinian Al-Quds newspaper, the Qatari Envoy to Gaza Muhammad al-Emadi was in a hotel right next to the site of the attack. Al-Emadi arrived to the Gaza Strip on Tuesday.

In addition, the Gaza fishing range has been reduced to 10 nautical miles Thursday morning, the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT), Major General Kamil Abu Rukun, announced. Continue Reading »

Iranian targets in Syria struck in overnight retaliatory operation

IDF reports ‘dozens’ of Iranian militia targets in Syria were struck in an overnight IDF operation by Israeli warplanes over Damascus, in retaliation for multiple rockets fired by Iranian proxies a day earlier.

The Israeli military said that it had successfully struck over a “dozen” targets in Syria overnight Wednesday in retaliation for Iranian proxy fire a day earlier.

Syria state media reported that at least two were killed in the Israeli attack.

The strikes on Israeli territory early Tuesday morning, which was blamed on Iranian military forces, were reportedly intercepted by the Iron Dome missile defense system. Continue Reading »

Israel drops a spot in 2019 World Military Ranking

Using over 55 factors to determine a country’s military strength ranking, Global Firepower drops the IDF to 17th place.

Israel’s military is in 17th place in the latest 2019 Military Strength Ranking index by Global Firepower.

Israel comes behind the standard military powerhouses of the United States, Russia, China, India and European powers Germany, the UK and France, but has moved down one place from 2018 when it came in 16th.

The IDF thwarted an attempt to smuggle materials, meant for manufacturing rockets, into the Gaza Strip in early May, The army released for publication Friday morning.

Two Palestinian vessels entered the forbidden area in the southern Gaza Strip on May 11, in violation of the security regulations and the armistice directives. The navy seized the vessels and the four suspects on them were transferred to interrogation of security forces. Continue Reading »

In Official Ceremony Russia gives Netanyahu Israeli MIA’s Personal Effects 

During an official ceremony at Russia’s Defense Ministry in Moscow, PM Netanyahu is given the last personal effects belonging to Israel’s soldier, Sgt 1st Class, Zachary Baumel ז”ל who was returned to Israel yesterday, 37 years after becoming MIA in Lebanon.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu attended an official ceremony of the Russian Ministry of Defense on Thursday afternoon, during which the remaining items belonging to the late Zachary Baumel were handed over to the prime minister.

REPORT: Two Palestinians neutralized by IDF near Joseph’s Tomb

Two Palestinian Arabs in their 20s were killed by IDF gunfire in Nablus after throwing explosive devices at IDF soldiers securing worshipers at Joseph’s Tomb, reported IDF Spokesperson’s Unit.

Terrorists threw explosive devices at IDF forces who were securing the entry of worshipers to Joseph’s Tomb in Shechem (Nablus) overnight Tuesday, the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit said.

UNHRC Report: IDF deliberately shot at children, people with disabilities

Considering the United Nations Human Rights Council commission had no access to Gaza or cooperation from Israel, due to the biased mandate to only investigate Israel’s response to the Hamas-led riots along the Gaza border, PM Netanyahu rejected the report, saying the UN had set “new records for hypocrisy and mendacity out of an obsessive hatred of Israel.”

IDF uncovers weapons factory for terrorists in Palestinian controlled Samaria

WATCH: In a joint operation of the IDF, Shin Bet, and Israel Border Police, an illegal weapons production workshop was uncovered in the Palestinian Authority-controlled city of Shechem (Nablus).

Israeli security forces operating in Samaria on Tuesday discovered a weapons factory in the Palestinian Authority-controlled city of Shechem (Nablus).

In a joint operation of the IDF, Shin Bet internal security agency, and Israeli police, Israeli security personnel raided the factory, confiscating equipment and materials used to produce weapons, an IDF spokesperson reported Wednesday morning.

Canada investigates Jewish National Fund charity for IDF linked donations

The Jewish National Fund of Canada is suspected of violating tax-exempt status by funding projects linked to the IDF.
– The JNF of Canada claims it stopped funding such projects years ago, when it became clear it was against tax laws.

The Jewish National Fund (JNF) of Canada made headlines in Canadian media outlets Friday following allegations by local tax authorities claiming the Jewish charity funded IDF projects with donations collected in Canada.

Although Canadian law doesn’t prohibit citizens from donating money to the IDF through Israel’s Ministry of Defense, it does ban tax-exempt charities from assisting foreign armies and prohibits donors from claiming tax deductions for such donations. Continue Reading »

Egypt destroyed, flooded with sea water or sewage, 37 tunnels from Gaza in 2018

The Egyptian army began destroying Hamas’ tunnels from Gaza following the September 2013 coup, that saw the ousting of Muslim Brotherhood’s Mohammed Morsi, who became President after being busted out of an Egyptian prison by hundreds of armed militants who entered Egypt via the Gaza tunnels.

UNIFIL confirms 4th of 5 Hezbollah tunnels violating UN resolution 1701

IDF pumps cement into Hezbollah attack-tunnel pouring out of Lebanese homes

IDF drone-cam: The cement used to fill and neutralize Hezbollah’s attack-tunnels on the Israeli side came leaking out of the tunnel from several places in the southern Lebanese village of Kafr Kila.

Twenty-three days after Israel launched Operation Northern Shield and found the first tunnel dug into northern Israel from southern Lebanon by Hezbollah, the military has completed the destruction of a number of tunnels which infiltrated close to the community of Metula.
