Israel’s Ambassador to the United Nations, Danny Danon, on Wednesday criticized the statement by Palestinian Authority (PA) chairman Mahmoud Abbas.

“The Palestinian Authority is doing all it can to avoid any chance for negotiations and is actively thwarting initiatives towards reconciliation,” Ambassador Danon said.

“The international community must not allow Chairman Abbas to evade direct negotiations yet again. It must be made clear to the Palestinian leadership that they must stop their dangerous incitement which threatens the stability of the region,” he added. Continue Reading »

Syrian state TV: Israel Strikes Syria Again

The Syrian TV news report comes just two days after the IDF allegedly fired several Jericho missiles destroying large sections of an Iranian military base near Damascus.

Israeli fighter jets bombed several Syrian military installations around the capital of Damascus, a number of local outlets, including the state TV, and witnesses on social media reported on Monday.

The man who the Palestinian Authority deemed appropriate to represent it officials in London, Manuel Hassassian, recently boast on Lebanese television that he once beat up an Israeli student at an American university in Ohio.

Hassassian was speaking on Al-Quds TV when he was asked about his student days at the University of Toledo.

US State Department decides to allow PLO DC office to remain open, but conditionally

With the Palestinians rescinding its directive to charge Israelis in the ICC, a US St. Dept. official relayed an updated decision allowing the PLO’s Washington DC office to remain open, but “within limitations.”

The administration of US President Donald Trump on Friday backtracked on its vow to close the Washington DC office of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), saying it could remain open “within limitations.”

A State Department official said the bureau is advised to “limit its activities to those related to achieving a lasting, comprehensive peace between the Israelis and Palestinians.”

IDF’s “Operation Good Neighbor,” first revealed this past July, was initiated as an ad-hoc solution to treat Syrians who came to Israel’s border fence seeking immediate medical attention from IDF soldiers, then expanded into an organized governmental mission in June 2016, as Syria’s humanitarian needs grew.

Poll: 82% of Israeli Arabs have no desire to live under Palestinian Authority

In an Israel Hayom poll released Tuesday, 73% of Israeli Arabs feel a sense of belonging and 60% said they were “proud” to be Israeli.

Sone 73% of Israeli Arabs feel a sense of belonging and 60% are proud to be Israelis, according to a new poll commissioned by Israel Hayom and conducted by the New Wave Research Institute that was released Tuesday. The poll questioned 426 Arab Israelis aged 18 and up, and did not include the Druze community.

Nearly two-thirds of the respondents (65%) defined themselves as not religious, while 35% said they were religious. Continue Reading »

US Congressional Committee Targets Hamas, Unanimously Approves Taylor Force Act

The Taylor Force Act earned unanimous bipartisan support from House Foreign Affairs Committee on Wednesday, now proceeding to the House of Representatives for a full vote, with the bill also introduced in the Senate.

WASHINGTON – The House Foreign Affairs Committee approved legislation that would compel the Palestinian Authority to end its program of compensating the families of convicted terrorists for their crimes.

The legislation, titled the Taylor Force Act, earned unanimous bipartisan support from committee members on Wednesday. It now proceeds to the House floor for a full vote. Parallel legislation has been introduced in the Senate. Continue Reading »

Israel’s mini space lab arrives at International Space Station

Israel’s 5.1lb mini-lab developed by SpacePharm will be conducting its first experiments on living cells in microgravity environment, simulating body temperature, and will be controlled remotely from Earth.

An Israeli-developed, state-of-the-art space laboratory hosting four science experiments docked in the International Space Station Tuesday after a successful launch.

The space lab, built by Israeli company SpacePharma with the support of the Science Ministry’s Israel Space Agency,  is unique in that it requires no physical human contact, as it is controlled remotely by researchers on Earth.

IDF’s most elite units host Indian special forces in joint training exercises

While a contingent from the Indian Air Force were participating in the Blue Flag exercise, 16 visiting Indian commandos, part of their 45-man delegation, were training with the Israeli Air Force’s elite Shaldag unit and Unit 669, the Airborne Combat, Search & Rescue Unit.

Australia upgrades military with Israel’s Trophy Defense System, Iron Dome, Spike Missiles

In the Australian Army’s plan to upgrade their armed vehicles with the latest defense systems, Israel’s defense giant Rafael has begun talks on opening factories in Australia to help provide those military needs.

As Australia overhauls its LAND 400 armored vehicles program, Israeli defense giant Rafael Advanced Defense Systems is in the running to provide its Trophy Active Protection System and SPIKE missiles to the land Down Under in deals worth hundreds of millions of dollars.

Iran has taken over Lebanon, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Sunday morning, issuing a warning about Tehran’s growing regional dominance before ending a five-day trip to London.

Netanyahu was in Britain to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Balfour Declaration, but made use of the trip to persuade the British government to take steps to halt Iranian aggression.

Lebanese Prime Minister Saad al-Hariri’s Saturday resignation — during which he said he fears an assassination attempt — and his warning about Iran’s inference in his country appeared to underscore the message Netanyahu delivered in meetings he held with British Prime Minister Theresa May and Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson.
