Op-Ed: Latest wave of Palestinian terrorism deserves ‘A proper Zionist response’

With no death penalty sentences laid down for convicted terrorists, and Palestinian leadership’s glorification & rewards to murderers that only incentivizes more attacks, it may be time to implement & accelerate a proper Zionist response, something the Palestinian leadership will find more difficult to digest.

By Nadav Shragai

Maybe our leaders will implement harsh measures and we can now come to our senses by launching a broader, more creative offensive initiative; and maybe we will continue restraining and fortifying ourselves to death with more walls and fences; but what about providing a proper Zionist response? What happened to that most basic and healthy Jewish instinct, characteristic of our return to Zion? Continue Reading »

US Navy informs officials Haifa docking may end when Chinese take over port

Retired American and Israeli defense & intelligence officials have raised security concerns over the upcoming Chinese management of the Port of Haifa beginning in 2021, as it might jeopardize U.S. Naval operations there.

By MICHAEL WILNER

WASHINGTON – The US Navy has acknowledged that its longstanding operations in Haifa may change once a Chinese firm takes over the civilian port in 2021, prompting Israel’s national security cabinet to revisit the arrangement, The Jerusalem Post has learned.

Haifa, the nation’s largest port city, regularly hosts joint US-Israeli naval drills and visits from American vessels. But a 2015 agreement between Israel’s Transportation Ministry and Shanghai International Port Group (SIPG) – a company in which the Chinese government has a majority stake – has raised intelligence and security concerns that are only now prompting an interagency review. ANALYSIS: IDF’s Strategy in the War Against Iran

The IDF’s commencement of Operation Northern Shield is the third tier in its psychological war against Iran:

  1. Iranians left dumbstruck by Israel’s cutting-edge technology that is currently destroying tunnel after tunnel exiting Lebanon,
  2. Generals distressed after Israel’s Air Force successfully destroyed advanced weaponry in Syria while Russia’s S-300 stood idly ‘watching’ and,
  3. Reading in the press how Hamas begged Egypt to facilitate a ceasefire the day after the IAF successfully hit 150 strategic targets in Gaza in under 48 hours.

With “Operation Northern Shield” entering its second week and the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) working to destroy a third Hezbollah attack tunnel underneath the border with Lebanon it has become increasingly clear Israel is waging a psychological war against Iran and its proxies. Continue Reading »

Netanyahu secures new Islamic ties through strength, not political weakness

With PM Netanyahu’s breakthrough diplomatic achievements with Abu Dhabi and Oman under its belt, Israel’s gov’t is now looking to normalize an open relationship with Saudi Arabia.

By Ryan Jones

For decades it has been assumed that Israel must bend over backwards in order to convince the Arab world to make peace with it. Israeli concessions and “goodwill gestures” were always the order of the day when it came to negotiations, be they with the Palestinians, or other Arab neighbors.

But Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has in recent years demonstrated that the above formula is not the only way forward. Continue Reading »

The symbolic victory against Hamas at the United Nations General Assembly on Thursday, in which 87 nations supported a draft resolution condemning Hamas, marked another milestone: Brazil took an unprecedented step by siding with Israel and the U.S.

The U.S.-sponsored text would have for the first time condemned the Islamic terrorist group Hamas, which controls Gaza. Although it won a plurality of votes in the assembly, it failed to win the required two-thirds majority. Continue Reading »
