Jerusalem Lawyers Launch Global War on Anti-Semitism/Anti-Jewish Propaganda

 

Jerusalem-based legal group open the Jerusalem Institute for Justice (JIJ), an int’l network of lawyers ready to take legal action against anyone persecuting Jews anywhere in the world.

“Any place or anytime where there are anti-Semitic activities, we want to be there to fight back.” That is the battle cry of a new initiative of the Jerusalem Institute for Justice (JIJ), which is organizing an international network of lawyers ready to take legal action against all those persecuting Jews anywhere in the world.

Concerned citizens are being asked to rise up in the face of mounting threats and attacks against Jews around the globe, and to report on anti-Semitic activities as they occur through a website set up to coordinate responses. Continue Reading »

Israel’s Embassy in Egypt re-opened Wednesday following a four-year closure.

In 2011, following the resignation of Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, Israeli diplomats were forced to leave the embassy when protesters stormed the building .

Israel Enveloped In Thickest Sandstorm in Past 75 Years

The abomination on the Temple Mount has disapeared behind the sandstorm in Jerusalem.

 

With no immediate relief in sight, hundreds of people throughout Israel have already been treated for respiratory problems, with some children & adults hospitalized.

“Black Gold” Found in Golan Heights, With Requests to Drill Additional Wells

 

After finding evidence of large crude oil reservoir in Israel’s Golan Heights, Afek Oil & Gas requested an extension of its exploration license to add additional wells in the area.

An oil reservoir has been discovered in the Golan Heights, Israeli energy company Afek officially revealed on Monday.

The company, which previously only hunted at the discovery, on Monday requested permission to drill additional wells in the area.

Microsoft Acquires Israeli Cybersecurity Startup for $250 million

 

Microsoft buys yet another Israeli startup, Adallom, an Israel-based cybersecurity company specializing in defending programs & content in the cloud.

Microsoft said Tuesday it bought an Israel-based cybersecurity startup specializing in defending programs and content in the cloud, as it expands offerings for the enterprise.

Microsoft did not disclose how much it paid for Adallom, but the website TechCrunch put the purchase price at $250 million.

The acquisition comes as Microsoft responds to the trend toward cloud-based computing, in which data or software is accessed remotely over the Internet.

Microsoft built its revenue selling packaged programs such as its widely used Office software for business or home computers, but the tech giant is shifting to offering that software through cloud-based subscriptions. Continue Reading »

US puts top Hezbollah & Hamas leaders on terror blacklist

 

Two of the Hamas terrorists on the US blacklist had been reluctantly freed by Israel in exchange for captive IDF soldier Gilad Schalit.

The United States put three senior members of Hamas, a senior commander and two leaders freed by Israel in exchange for captive soldier Gilad Shalit, on its terror blacklist Tuesday.

The State Department said Yehia Sinwar and Rawhi Mushtaha along with the Palestinian group’s military commander Mohammed Deif had been named “specially designated global terrorists” under US law.

 Deif has been described as Israel’s most wanted man for his role since 2002 as commander of Hamas’ military wing, the Ezzedine al-Qassam Brigades, overseeing attacks in Gaza and Israel.

Netanyahu tells EU president: Stop forcing Israel into agreements that threaten our existence

The European Union must stop pressuring Israel to enter dangerous agreements that threaten the future of the Jewish state, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in Jerusalem on Monday night.

Europe “seeks to unilaterally press Israel into agreements that will endanger our very existence and therefore your very defense,” Netanyahu publicly told visiting European Council President Donald Tusk prior to holding a private discussion with him.

Beverly Hills & Israel to sign strategic agreement on water needs & cybersecurity

 

Israel to provide Beverly Hills with its know-how in cybersecurity & water conservation, which may bring millions of dollars to Israeli coffers if major projects are signed, as were with other municipalities in California.

The city of Beverly Hills has unanimously agreed to sign a strategic agreement with Israel. 

At a time when the word agreement is mentioned in the United States primarily in the Iranian context, it was the Beverly Hills municipality that unanimously passed a resolution to sign a strategic agreement with the Israel a few days ago.

Survey: European Jews Afraid to be Recognized as Jewish

 

Record breaking number of anti-Semitic inspired acts of violence has manifested into overt fright with over 85% of European Jewry not attending Rosh Hashana services this year, for fear of possible anti-Semitic repercussions.

An alarming majority of Jews living in Europe today are afraid to reveal their Jewishness, a survey carried out by the Rabbinical Centre of Europe(RCE) published on Tuesday found.

The data indicates a severe erosion in the sense of security felt by European Jews.

Einat Schlein, an expert in Mid-Eastern affairs & 1 of 7 women appointed to diplomatic posts, is Israel’s newest envoy to Jordan, making her Israel’s 1st female ambassador to an Arab country.

Einat Schlein became Israel’s first woman to serve as ambassador to an Arab country when she presented her credentials to Jordan’s King Abdullah in a ceremony in Amman on Monday, Israel’s Foreign Ministry said.

Israel’s new envoy to Jordan is an expert in Middle East affairs and previously headed the international division of the Foreign Ministry’s diplomatic research center.
