Israel’s pro-cannabis party threatens to sue Facebook over page deletion

Green Leaf, Israel’s pro-marijuana political party, claims Facebook re-approved their promotions campaign in order to avoid litigation, but then deleted Green Leaf’s account as way of ‘neutralizing’ them.

Israel’s pro-marijuana legalization party, Green Leaf (Ale Yarok), is threatening to sue Facebook after it removed one of its publicity campaigns from the social media platform.

Green Leaf’s lawyer sent a letter to Facebook explaining that in October 2018, the party launched a publicity campaign on the social media platform in order to raise funds for a High Court appeal over Israel’s cannabis laws.

As part of this campaign, the party paid for 15 adverts on Facebook for a total sum of NIS 11,500 (some $3,000). Continue Reading »

Prostitution in Israel is legal, but solicitation of sexual act is no longer

Israel’s Knesset passes law aimed at fighting solicitation of prostitution with first-time offenders set to pay a ₪2,000 ($535) fine, and with maximum fine of ₪75,300 ($20,000) for repeat offenders.
• Justice Minister Shaked: ‘Solicitation is a morally unacceptable act; a woman’s body is not an object to be given to the highest bidder.’

The Knesset on Monday voted unanimously to ban the solicitation of sexual services in Israel.

According to the law, individuals who solicit or attempt to solicit sexual acts will face a 2,000 shekel ($535) fine. A second offense will be punishable by a NIS 4,000 ($1,070) fine and the prosecution will have the authority to file an indictment against the solicitor. Continue Reading »

‘Corrupted’ UNESCO will never get its $625.5 million, US, Israel are finally out

With Israel’s withdrawal from the unethical UN organization going into effect on 1/1/19, the Jewish State’s Ambassador explained, “UNESCO is a body that continues to rewrite history, among other things, by attempts to erase the Jewish connection to Jerusalem.”

Israel quit UNESCO because the organization was corrupted by enemies of the Jewish state, Israel’s Ambassador to the UN said Danny Danon said on Tuesday.

He spoke in response to the withdrawal of Israel and the United States from the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization on Monday night.

Palestinians sentence American to life with hard labor for selling home to Jews

Palestinian court in Ramallah, run by autocrat Mahmoud Abbas’ Palestinian Authority, has sentenced an American citizen who also has an Israeli ID card, to life in prison and hard labor, for his real estate deal with Jews.

An American citizen was sentenced to life in prison by a Palestinian Authority court Monday for involvement in the sale of Arab-owned real estate to Jews.

On Monday, the Grand Criminal Court in Ramallah sentenced Isaam Akel, an Arab American who also holds an Israeli identification card, to life imprisonment with hard labor, the PA’s WAFA media outlet reported.

UNIFIL confirms 4th of 5 Hezbollah tunnels violating UN resolution 1701

Having not acknowledged that all 5 tunnels Hezbollah dug into Israel violates the Jewish State’s sovereignty, UNIFIL did confirm the existence of the 5th Hezbollah tunnel violating UN resolution 1701 on Saturday, but only after the concrete pumped into a tunnel discovered in Israel began to exit homes in Lebanon, pouring into the street.

UNIFIL, the UN’s peacekeeping force stationed in the demilitarized zone between Israel and Lebanon, on Saturday confirmed the existence of another cross-border tunnel which the Israeli army on Friday filled with cement to block it.

IDF retaliates with gunship airstrike after rocket launched from Gaza

IAF Attack Helicopter Division responds forcefully destroying a Hamas post in Gaza on Saturday, in response to yet another rocket launched at Israel.
–  Gaza rioter was shot dead by the IDF during the weekly Hamas organized riots on Israel’s border.

IDF spokesman said Saturday that Hamas forces in the Gaza Strip have launched a rocket at Israel overnight, none were hurt and no damages were reported. In response, the IDF attacked a Hamas post in the strip using an IAF helicopter.

This is the first rocket to be launched from the Gaza Strip since the November fighting round, in which hundreds of rockets were launched at Israel from the strip, causing damages to property and killing one. Continue Reading »

Israeli built wings for F-35 keeps fighter-jet undetectable

The Israeli production line for 1622 stealth wings for the F-35 fighter-jet is expected to generate revenues estimated at $2.5 billion over the next 10-15 years.

Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) has launched a production line for the outer wing set of the F-35 stealth fighter key component to make the advanced fighter jet invisible to radar, the company announced.

“The construction of the new production line significantly upgrades IAI’s technological capabilities, automation and robotics, and will enable the company to establish itself as a major player in the military and civilian aerostructures,” read a statement by IAI. Continue Reading »

IDF pumps cement into Hezbollah attack-tunnel pouring out of Lebanese homes

IDF drone-cam: The cement used to fill and neutralize Hezbollah’s attack-tunnels on the Israeli side came leaking out of the tunnel from several places in the southern Lebanese village of Kafr Kila.

Twenty-three days after Israel launched Operation Northern Shield and found the first tunnel dug into northern Israel from southern Lebanon by Hezbollah, the military has completed the destruction of a number of tunnels which infiltrated close to the community of Metula.

Israel’s Knesset approves cannabis export

Medical cannabis stocks reaps windfall at Tel Aviv Stock Exchange as the reform, meant to allow the export of medical marijuana farmed & processed in Israel, was passed with the intention of infusing up to $1 billion annually into state coffers.

The Knesset, Israel’s parliament, on Tuesday approved a reform that would allow the export of medical cannabis farmed and processed in the country. In total, 21 MKs voted for the law, which passed unopposed. The implementation of the reform, in the works since 2016, is still pending a final vote by ministers.

The reform is forecasted to bring the country anywhere between $70 million and $1 billion a year. Continue Reading »

5th Hezbollah attack tunnel destroyed by the IDF – Ho! Ho! Ho!

As part of Operation Northern Shield, today the IDF destroyed a fifth Hezbollah attack-tunnel that had only recently crossed into Israel.

A number of days ago, IDF troops exposed an additional cross-border attack tunnel that was dug from the Shiite village of Ayta ash Shab and crossed into Israeli territory. A short while ago, the tunnel was neutralized by an explosion.

The IDF notified the heads of the relevant local authorities and UNIFIL in advance.

The IDF had previously found and begun to destroy four other attack tunnels which violated Israeli territory during Operation Northern Shield.

Israel Knesset disqualifies early parole for convicted terrorists

Security prisoners convicted of murder or accessory to murder who have served 2/3 of their sentences will no longer be eligible for parole under new law passed Tuesday that prevents their early release.

The Knesset on Tuesday enacted a law preventing the early release of security prisoners found guilty of murder or accessory to murder under the 2016 Anti-Terrorism Law.

According to the new law, sponsored by Yisrael Beytenu MK Oded Forer and Likud MK Anat Berko, prisoners convicted of murder or accessory to murder will no longer have the possibility of having their sentences shortened. Continue Reading »

Israel’s air defense system – likely the Arrow – was activated late Tuesday night against a Syrian anti-aircraft missile, following an alleged Israeli air strike over the capital of Damascus. Media reports claimed that Israel struck weapon warehouses near the Syrian capital.

The C-130J heavy transport plane is able to fly over 4,000 kilometers and equipped with cutting-edge avionics along with an advanced anti-missile defense system that deploys decoys, allowing the plane to maneuver away from the threat.

The Israel Air Force received it’s seventh C-130J transport plane, the military announced.

A ceremony at Nevatim Airbase led by Brig.-Gen.Eyal Greenboim and the commander of the Elephant Squadron Lt.Col. “H” was held Sunday to mark the arrival of the latest C-130J, known in Israel as “Samson” and Super Hercules in the US.

Palestinian Security rounds up dozens, arrest 44 Arabs for selling property to Jews

Mahmoud Abbas’ security forces reported in a rare statement that they have arrested 44 Palestinians suspected of involvement in alleged real estate transactions of “transferring ownership over [Islamic] land to the occupation” and ‘urged’ others not to sell lands or homes in the West Bank and eastern side of Jerusalem to Jews.
