Syrian state news agency reports Israeli missile struck Quneitra

The state run news agency reported an attack on the Syrian side of the Golan Heights Thursday; striking a village and causing only material damages with no reports of casualties.

An Israeli missile hit a village in the Kuneitra countryside in Syria’s Golan Heights near the frontier between the two countries on Thursday, Syrian state media said.

State news agency SANA described it as “an Israeli attack” that caused only material damages.

REPORT: Sexual misconduct, corruption at highest levels of UNRWA

In an internal ethics investigation of the UN agency created to maintain Palestinian Arabs as eternal refugees, reports of sexual misconduct, corruption, abuse of power along with a host of ethics violations were directed at the highest levels of the agency, including its chief, Pierre Krahenbuhl.

Head of ‘covert Hezbollah terror network’ on Syrian border with Israel killed

Israel, which does not comment on foreign reports, has remained silent on Mashour Zidan’s mysterious assassination. Hezbollah has also refrained from commenting and has not blamed Israel for the car-bombing.

Syrian news agency reported on Tuesday night of ‘Israeli aggression’ in that Israel fired missiles on several weapons depot used by Iranian militias [Hezbollah] in the Deraa and Kuneitra regions of Syria.

The Israel Defense Forces reportedly carried out an airstrike targeting Iranian strongholds in the south of Syria, with several reported killed, according to a war monitor.

The area targeted is said to be a hotspot for Iranian militia, according to Western gathered intelligence.

Arab media ‘credits’ Israel for destroying Iranian missile base in Iraq

Al-Jarida, a Kuwaiti daily, quotes a high-ranking Iranian Revolutionary Guards officer acknowledging Thursday’s mysterious airstrike destroyed an Iranian missile facility in Iraq and the attack was carried out using the same missiles used by the Israeli Air Force in their raids on Iranian bases in Syria.

Iranian military officials believe that Israel had a hand in a mysterious airstrike that destroyed an Iranian missile depot in Iraq, Kuwait’s Al-Jarida newspaper reported Sunday.

The strike took place on Thursday night, on an Iranian militia base in Nineveh province. The area was recently liberated from the Islamic State group and according to the report, the Iranian-backed militias are trying to encourage demographic changes among the Sunni population in the province. Report: Amid paralyzing sanctions, Hezbollah readying for war with Israel

US cancels Turkey’s F-35 program agreement

Washington explicitly voiced its disagreement with Turkey’s acquisition of Russia’s S-400 missile defense system while also having American F-35s in the region, since it would allow Moscow to gain too much inside information about the stealth systems, a condition deemed impermissible by the Pentagon.

Russia delivers additional S-400 air defense components to Turkey

Russia’s weekend delivery of the advanced S-400 air defense system will now terminate the US’s F-35 fighter jet sales program, as Washington has warned Turkey about taking delivery, regardless of Ankara insistence it is a “strategic defense requirement.”
