Palestinians now suing Britain over Balfour Declaration in PA courts

Since the mandate that allowed for the reconstitution of the Jewish State originally came out of the UN predecessor, the League of Nations’ San Remo Resolution of 1920, and again ratified by the UN in 1948, the historical importance of Lord Balfour’s “declaration of sympathy” simply did not have the authority or jurisdiction the Palestinian plaintiffs contend.

A lawsuit, submitted by private individuals to a PA court on October 22, is suing Britain for issuing the Balfour Declaration, as well as for crimes committed by British soldiers during Britain’s Mandate, Palestinian Media Watch (PMW) reported on Sunday. Continue Reading »
