IDF resumes underground defense system on northern border with Lebanon

To counter Iranian funded Hezbollah attack tunnels into Israel, the IDF notified the UN that a state-of-the-art border barrier, designed to also detect underground digging from Lebanon, will be constructed on Israel’s side of the border.

The military on Sunday said it began construction of an underground defense system Sunday along its northern frontier with Lebanon to protect against cross-border tunnels.

Pompeo praises Colombia, Honduras, Guatemala for blacklisting Hezbollah

Addressing Hizbollah’s activities in Central, South America, the US Secretary of State praised Colombia, Honduras, and Guatemala for designating the Iran-backed Hizbollah as a terrorist organization.

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on Monday praised Colombia, Honduras and Guatemala which designated Hezbollah as a terrorist organization.

In a post on Twitter, Pompeo wrote that Hezbollah “and other transnational terrorist groups remain active in the region. The US continues to rally international support to counter these threats.”

Hizbollah runs guns, drugs, finances terrorism with impunity in Germany

The Lebanese terrorist organization Hezbollah uses a center in Berlin as well as other locations across Germany to recruit members and raise funds for terrorism and weapons purchases, according to a report by the Berlin-based Tagesspiegel newspaper.

Twitter acquiesces to Congressional threats, closes Hamas/Hezbollah accounts

All Hamas-affiliated Twitter accounts in Arabic, French, English and Spanish were suspended with no prior notice, just as the Hezbollah-affiliated Al-Manar TV claimed that most of its Twitter accounts were closed.

Twitter has suspended all Hamas-affiliated accounts, according to media reports.

The move came at the same time as the Hezbollah-affiliated Al-Manar TV claimed that most of its Twitter accounts had been suspended by the platform on Saturday.

The move “appeared” to be Twitter yielding to “political pressure” after a bipartisan group of US lawmakers accused Twitter last week of violating US law in allowing content from US-designated terrorist groups to appear on the micro-blogging site. Continue Reading »

REPORT: Massive blast rocks Hezbollah command center

Syrian rebel media outlets report mysterious explosion at Hezbollah’s command center near Damascus as the terror group is reportedly positioning its forces in southern Syria to prepare for an attack on Israel, should current Persian Gulf/Iran tensions boil over.

Media outlets affiliated with rebel groups in Syria on Monday published photos purporting to show smoke rising from an attacked Hezbollah command center in the town of Yabrud, north of the capital Damascus.

Head of ‘covert Hezbollah terror network’ on Syrian border with Israel killed

IDF Destroys Hezbollah’s last, most advanced & largest attack-tunnel

While the IDF has now destroyed all of Hezbollah’s cross-border attack-tunnels, some by explosives and others by flooding them with fresh concrete, there are still several others known to the military, but are in Lebanese territory, close to the border with Israel.

UK blacklists Hezbollah as terror group, Jeremy Corbyn objects

Opposed to the government’s decision to designate all of Hezbollah as a terrorist organization, UK Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn, whose party has been drenched with accusations of anti-Semitism since he assumed leadership in 2015, had referred to Hezbollah in the past as his “friends.”

The British Labour party rejected the government’s decision to define Hezbollah as a terrorist organization in its totality.

“Decisions on the proscription of organizations as terror groups are supposed to be made on the advice of civil servants based on clear evidence that those organizations fall foul of the proscription criteria set out in legislation,” Labour said in a statement Tuesday, adding, “The Home Secretary must therefore now demonstrate that this decision was taken in an objective and impartial way, and driven by clear and new evidence, not by his leadership ambitions.” Continue Reading »
